Mary And I live in Clermont, FL. about 23 miles from Orlando. We do a lot of things locally including sports, music, outdoor adventures, going out to eat & etc. List includes things we’ve actually done and any applicable notes. We just stocked up on camping gear so… more to come in that vein.

In Clermont

Go to Historic Downtown Clermont, there’s food, local shopping and regular events like art fairs and first Friday food truck nights (each first Friday evening of the month). Take any of the numbered streets north off 50 until you hit Montrose St.

Hiawatha Preserve “Champions Pointe” Disc Golf Course –  My personal favorite. A tournament caliber disc golf course in Clermont, FL. I made videos of all 18 holes with a few tips to navigate the course. I even built a little unofficial forum here for lost and found or whatever.

Triangle Vinyl Records – Best record store in the Clermont area. They just moved to Historic Downtown Clermont at 650 7th St.

Corelli’s – My favorite pizza south of the North End of Boston. We normally go to the downtown location so we can sit outside and eat though there is a location closer to us on 50.

Tiki Bar & Grill @ Lake Minneola Inn – Outdoor seating right on the lake, friendly people… IMO they have the best burger in Clermont.

Pizzano’s – They have really good toasted subs.

Citrus Tower – Let’s play some arcade games and pinball.

Lake Louisa State Park – If you want to see the central Florida ecosystem, this place is great. There’s trails, picnic tables by the lake, camping and cabins.

Clermont Waterfront Park – Nice place to relax and eat the food you just got to go. 🙂

Clermont Farmers Market

Close To Clermont

Orlando Magic – Mo Bamba, enough said.

UCF Baseball – Great place to see a high level baseball game at a good price.

Foundation Records Orlando – They have vintage rock tee’s here as well as wax.

Disney Springs – If you want a Disney feel but don’t necessarily want to go into the park. Tons of food and shopping.

Lakeland Magic – I’ve seen NBA players like DJ Augustin and Derrick Jones play in Lakeland.

Wekiwa Springs – Crystal clear spring fed swimming, camping and canoeing.

Ellie Lou’s BBQ – OMG NOM

Plant Street Market

Winter Garden Farmers Market

Falcon Square Basketball Court – Glass backboards! – Winter Garden, FL 34787

Disney Fireworks

Fort De Soto State Park – Great campground on the west coast of Florida. About an hour and a half from Clermont. See the below video it’s really beautiful there.

I’ll be adding the appropriate links and list will be edited many times so bookmark it to check back.
